I think it depends upon who you ask and what it is that I'm thinking about. My initial reaction is that I'm an optimist. I can see the good in just about anything - I can find the joy in 15 inches of snow, the challenges of academics, the joy within each loss in our lives. That I believe is me.
I asked my partner what he thought I was and very quickly, perhaps too quickly, he said "You're a pessimist, you always look at the negative side of things."
For those of you reading this blog, would you give me our two cents and tell me what your perspective of me is? Am I an optimist or a pessimist?
Thanks for your thoughts.

I agree with what you said... it depends.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to challenges in every day life, you're an optimist. The glass is definitely half full. When it comes to social problems you are passionate about, you are a pessimist. However, in order to make change in the world, I think that is pretty essential.
