Could you live without the Internet for a week? For a month? #postaday2011

Of course I could live without the Internet for a week or a month! The Internet doesn't "give" me the ability to live, it gives me information that can (but not always) enhance my life.

For example, I like being able to look up addresses and get a map with directions to places I'm driving or walking to. I frequently get lost - even going to places I've been before - so this information helps me a lot!

I like being able to answer questions I have quickly about history, trivia, politics, etc. I learn a great deal and frequently get lost finding answers to questions because I'm reading about a topic that takes me to an article that takes me to a video clip. Frequently I forget the topic that took me to the Internet in the first place, but that's OK...I've just learned a bunch!

I enjoy being able to view places I've never been before - I hadn't been many places so this can take hours! I like reading about other countries, cultures, and people.

I really like the endless possibilities for news from a variety of perspectives on the Internet.

But I can live without all of this. This isn't giving me life....it enhances my life  - but not all the time.
