I have several initial responses to this prompt: I don't care for this one, I have no idea what I would write about, and then I don't really think about my year in a single most important thing....there is the direction I will go!
I don't see my life, my work, my days and years as in competition to be the most important. I don't like how that feels or what it represents. If this is a single most important then there are so many other accomplishments that are not!
Here is how I think of the last year:

Here is how I think of the last year:
- I lived
- My parents lived
- My children lived
- My children both graduated from college (this was an important thing that they accomplished and I had the opportunity to support in many ways)
- My partner lived
- I kept my job and had many new opportunities come to me that I could say yes to
- I made a difference in the lives of others
- I learned something new everyday
- I laugh
- I loved
- I tried to sleep :)
How do I plan to top that in 2011? I plan to do all of the above and get better at the last bullet point...in fact, I'm going to start that now.
