About Me

My photo
I am the Mother of two great adult children, Elizabeth 27 years, and Scott 24 years. On September 4, 2010 I gained a new son-in-law in the family - Josh. I look forward to the new adventures this brings our family! I find it difficult to be a human "being" versus a human "doing" and strive to find a peace and serenity.

If you could live forever, would you? Why or why not? #postaday2011

I would live forever because then would have the opportunity to read more, write more, relax more, and laugh more. I would have more time with family and friends, more time to contribute to a better world, more opportunities to give back. More friends to make and more smile sightings to record.

That is my first reaction to the question.

Then I think - how will I afford to live forever? What will the world be like in this forever? Will there be clean air and water? Will food be affordable? Will my body be able to care for me? Will my kids and grand kids get sick of me? What if I become a burden? What if there earth becomes to populated that leaders decide what can happen to those who have been on the planet for the allotted time and now it is time to go? What if younger folks get mad at those of us living forever and taking up space and using resources and they start killing us off? What if younger generations get mad at those of us living forever for the mess we left them to clean up?

Then I think, this was not part of the original question and so, I choose to life forever because of what I said at first. The rest would be answered when I live forever.
